Cupán Grá – A Galentine’s Pottery Workshop (Cup of Love)
Friday 13th February | 7pm–9pm | 56 Central, Galway | Ages 18+

This Galentine’s Day, you’re invited to slow down, get creative and celebrate friendship, self-love and connection at Cupán Grá, a cosy, feel-good pottery workshop hosted by Galway ceramic artist Emma O’Toole of A Little Piece of My HeART Ceramics.

Cupán Grá means cup of love, and that’s exactly what this evening is about. It’s a warm, welcoming space to spend two relaxing hours painting and decorating your very own handmade ceramic mug, created especially for the night by Emma.

Think creativity, good vibes, gentle guidance and plenty of time to chat, laugh and unwind.

You’ll work with ceramic underglaze (a special kind of clay paint) to design your mug just the way you like it. No experience is needed at all. I, Emma, will guide you step by step, and there’s lots of freedom to play, experiment and make something that feels truly you.

The atmosphere is a big part of the magic. You’ll be welcomed with a signature cocktail or mocktail on arrival, and the space will be filled with a fun, uplifting soundtrack of girl-band favourites and female pop icons to keep things light, joyful and celebratory. There will also be the option to buy additional drink(s) on the night if you wish.

After the workshop, your mug will be professionally glazed and kiln-fired at Forge Clay Studios and will be ready for collection within two weeks.

I hope each mug becomes a little ritual cup in your home, a reminder to slow down, breathe deeply and be kind to yourself, with your very own cupán lámhdhéanta le grá, a cup handmade with love.

Cupán Grá is inspired by my love of and gratitude for female friendship and the strength that comes from women supporting one another, Cupán Grá is my answer to a Galentine’s event that truly celebrates friendship, creativity, self-love and Grá i gCré - Love in Clay.
